  • After you log in, you will be redirected to the All Apps section, where you can add a new app.

Sample App

We have provided a sample app as a part of the nowStudio experience, enabling you to better understand publishing, Webshop, monetization, and other nowStudio tools.

Important Information

  • The Sample app only contains dummy data and provides view-only functionality.

To view the sample app:

  • Click on View Details in front of the sample app name, as shown below:
  • You can go through all the provided dashboards and familiarize yourself with the flows for:
    • App Publishing
    • Payments
    • Webshop
    • Traffic
    • Analytics

Add a New App

Using this section, you can add your Android or HTML 5 apps to nowStudio. The entire process can be completed seamlessly by following the on-screen instructions.

To add a new app:
  • After logging in to the nowStudio
  • Click on Add New App
  • Choose your app type:
    • Android Game
    • HTML5 Game

1. Android Game

After you select the Android App in the previous step,

  • Select what you want to do first:
    • Publish my app
    • Test my app on the Cloud
    • Create my Webshop
  • Click on Next
    • You will be prompted to enter the basic details of your app:
      • App Title
      • App Package Name
      • Publisher Name
      • Genre
      • Click on Proceed
    • After adding your app, you will be redirected to the section related to the respective option you selected in the first step.

2. HTML5 Game

After you select HTML5 App in the previous step, enter:

  • App Title
  • Click on Proceed
  • Once you add your app, you will be redirected to the App Details section to configure your app and deploy it.

Users and Permissions

This section focuses on Adding users to your developer account and managing permissions.

nowStudio enables you to invite your team members and allow them to leverage all nowStudio features.

Add developer account users and manage permissions

nowStudio offers three different access levels, i.e., account owner, admins, and users. Your access level determines what actions you can perform and what information you can access on nowStudio. As an admin and owner, you can manage users to safely control access based on their roles.

Account access levels

The following illustrates Account access level definitions for your reference:

Account Type Description
Account Owner
  • First registered account on nowStudio. (Can be changed on request).
  • Has full access to nowStudio.
  • Can invite and remove any user. Can manage individual permissions.
  • Is the only person who can edit developer profile information in nowStudio.
  • This user account cannot be removed.
Admin
  • Has the ‘Admin (all permissions)’ permission.
    • Can be given access on account or app level.
  • Can invite and remove users and manage individual permissions.
User
  • Can have different levels of access on nowStudio.
  • Can be given access on account or app level.
  • Can’t invite users or edit permissions.

Invite Users and Grant Permissions

Using this functionality, you can invite users to your developer account.

Important Information

  • You must be an account owner or Admin to invite users.
1. Decide whether your user needs account or app access

Before you set up permissions, you need to decide if your user needs access at the account level or the app level:

Note: Some permissions are exclusively available on the app or account level. Permission Definitions.

2. Invite users and grant permissions

You can follow the steps to add users to your developer account and grant permissions across all apps or for specific apps based on the Permission Definitions section.

To do this:

  • On the nowStudio dashboard > Click on Users and permissions
  • Click on Invite Users
    • Type the user’s email address, as shown below:
    • Ensure you have the Admin permission at the account level.
      Note: Invited users will receive an email with steps to join your company using the same email address that you provided.
  • Select the permissions you want to apply:
    • App permissions
      • Select the app-level permissions you wish to grant for apps in the permissions table. Permission Definitions.
      • If you haven’t added an app here, Click on Add App under the App permissions tab, as shown below:
      • Once you have selected the desired permissions, click on Invite User in the bottom right corner.
    • Account permissions
      • Select the Account permissions you wish to grant for all apps in your developer account. Permission Definitions.
      • Once you have selected the desired permissions, click on Invite User in the bottom right corner.

Important Information

  • The user will be added to the user list, and the status will be marked as Invited.
  • Once the user accepts your invitation and joins the company, their status will change to Active.

Manage Users and Permissions

Using this section, you can manage the users and their permissions.

View and Manage Access

The following steps illustrate the process to view and manage user access.

To view and manage a user’s access:

  • After logging in to the nowStudio
  • Click on Users & Permissions
    • Click on Manage in front of the user’s row, as shown below:
    • App permissions
      • Select the App Permissions you wish to grant for a specific app. Permission Definitions.
      • If you haven’t added an app here, Click on Add App under the App permissions tab, as shown below:
      • Once you have selected the desired permissions, click on Save Changes in the bottom right corner.
    • Account permissions
      • Select the Account Permissions you wish to grant for all apps in your developer account. Permission Definitions.
      • Once you have selected the desired permissions, click on Save Changes in the bottom right corner.

Remove a User

The following steps illustrate the process to remove a user.

Important Information

  • Ensure admin access at the account level to remove a user.

To do this:

  • After logging in to the nowStudio
  • Click on Users & Permissions
    • Click on Manage in front of the user you wish to remove.
    • Click on Remove user, as shown below:
    • On the confirmation box, click on Remove.
      The user will be removed from your company.

Using this section, you can understand the different permission definitions and read the usage notes.

Account Permissions

The following section illustrates the account permissions. For app permissions, please check this section.

Permission Rights Details Usage Notes
App Access Admin
  • All permission for your developer account.
  • Invite users.
  • Manage permissions of other users.
  • Remove users.
Users with this permission get all other permissions for your developer account. They can also invite new users, remove users, and manage all other users’ permissions.
View Only
  • View all information for all apps- excluding Financial data & Credentials.
The ‘View only’ permission does not allow users to edit information or change nowStudio. You may grant users individual permissions (listed below) to access other sections.
Financial Data View and Manage Financial data
  • View the Monetize section.
  • Export bulk report.
Users can view the ‘Monetize’ section (except the Price Template) and export the ‘Order Management’ and ‘Ads Revenue’ reports for this developer account.
Releases Release to Production
  • Create, edit, and roll out releases to production.
  • Manage App Library for all permitted apps.
This permission allows users to publish apps to production.
Release to Testing track
  • Create, edit, and roll out releases to a testing track.
  • Manage App Library for all permitted apps.
This permission allows users to publish apps on the testing track but doesn’t allow users to publish apps for production.
Secure Access
  • Edit ‘Secure Access’ settings for all permitted apps.
Credentials
  • View the ‘Credentials’ page for all permitted apps.
Create App Create an App
  • Create a new App
The user who creates a new app is automatically granted admin privileges for that app.
Edit App Details Edit App Details
  • Edit ‘App details’ for all the permitted apps.
Payments Manage Data
  • Configure Payment Integration settings.
  • Add, edit and delete IAP products.
  • Add, edit and delete Subscriptions.
This permission allows access to add, edit, and delete IAP products and subscriptions and to edit payment integration settings.
Internal Tester Edit Internal Testers
  • Add and edit internal testers for all permitted apps.
This permission allows access to edit Internal testers for both Payments and Webshop.
Webshop Add & Edit Webshop
  • Create, edit, and publish Webshop for all permitted apps.
Traffic Discord
  • Add and edit the Discord app details and game emotes for all permitted apps.
Community Encouragement
  • Add and edit entries in community encouragement for all permitted apps.
Analytics Performance
  • Export performance data for all permitted apps.
Price Template Create Price Template
  • Create price template
Any added template will reflect for all the apps and can be selected while adding in-app products.
Edit Price Template
  • Edit price template
Any changes made to the existing template will reflect in all apps where it has been used for in-app product pricing.

Important Information

  • Any changes made to an existing price template will directly impact all the apps where it has been used.

App Permissions

Important Information

  • Granting App Access is mandatory. Please select Admin or View only permissions.
  • Only an Account-level admin can delete an app or delete a user.

Monetize

This section contains the details associated with the monetization modules.

  • All the sections explained here may not be visible on your Studio dashboard.

Price Template

Using this section, you can create a pricing template for the in-app products you add to your app/game.

A Price Template defines and stores the price of different in-app purchase (IAP) products you add.

Create Price Template

The Price Template defines and stores the price of different IAP products you create.

To create a price template:
  • Login to the nowStudio.
  • On the All Apps section:
  • Click on Monetize on the top navigation bar and click on Price Template.
  • Click on Create Template.
    • Enter a name for your price template.
    • Specify a default price in ($) – USD (Automatic currency conversion is carried out at the backend for other countries)
    • Click on Create Template.
  • Modify Country/Region-specific prices:
    • Go through the list of countries/regions.
      • Click on the edit icon beside the country/region you wish to edit.
      • Enter the price manually.
      • Click on the check icon against the country.
  • Once the price template is created, it will be displayed within the price template section:

To Modify an already created price template:

  • Within the Price Template section
  • Click on View Details against the name of the price template that you wish to edit.
  • From the listed countries/regions:
    • Click on the edit icon beside the country/region you wish to edit.
    • Enter the price manually.
  • Click on the check icon against the country.

Important Information

  • Local prices for your products are calculated using the default price you provided and the exchange rates at the time of price template creation.
  • You can configure your price template to use different prices for different countries/currencies within the details of your price template.
  • The default price for your IAP products should include any applicable taxes.
  • Taxes are included in the final price/list price displayed to the end users.

Order Management

This section lists the product purchases (in-app / Subscriptions) by users for all your apps, which you can view and analyze based on your requirements.

  • The data is displayed with the following fields:
    • Date
    • User Type
    • App
    • Game Id
    • Product
    • Order Id
    • In-Game ID
    • Country
    • Status
    • Total Value.
  • Select a custom date range to display orders from a specific period.
  • Tick the Exclude Testers checkbox to exclude any IAP orders that your app testers may have placed during integration testing.
  • You can also export the populated data to CSV by clicking Export to CSV on the top-right corner.
  • Here is a sample representation for your reference:

Ads Revenue

This section enables you to keep track of your generated revenue and populates custom data for your reference.

  • Your Total Estimated Ads Revenue in US$ is reflected on the top-right corner of your screen.
  • The Ads data is displayed for all Apps and all Ad types. However, you may:
    • Filter the Ads revenue data by App Title.
    • Filter the Ads revenue data for:
      • All Ads
      • In-game Rewarded Ads
      • Outside Game Ads
    • Select a custom date range to display the revenue for a specific period.
  • Export the Ads Revenue data to . XLS file by clicking on the Export to XLS button on the top-right corner.

Account Information

Using this section, you can access all the information associated with your developer account.

To access your account information:

  • Log in to nowStudio.
  • From the All Apps section
    • Click on the expand icon against your name in the top left corner.
    • Click on Account Information.

Important Information

  • If you have more than one company registered with your developer account, you can switch between them.
    • Click on Switch Company on the expanded menu to switch between companies.

The following is an explanation of all information related to your account:

  • Company ID
    The unique numeric ID assigned to your company.
  • Publisher Name
    Your registered publisher name.
  • Business Address
    Your registered business address.
  • Billing Address
    Your registered billing address.
  • Billing Contact
    Name of the person to be intimated while billing.
  • Legal Contact
    Name of the person to be intimated for any legal requirement.
  • Main Contact Name
    Name of the primary contact person associated with your developer account.
  • Main Contact Email
    Primary email address to be used for communication.
  • Publisher Token
    The unique publisher token to verify your identity.

Important Information

  • Please use the copy button in front of Publisher Token to copy the entire token.
